Brett Rypien is a football quarterback by profession and American by nationality. He plays with Boise State Broncos in the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and is one of the most promising players in the 2019 NFL draft.
Brett Rypien’s birth occurred on July 9, 1996, in Spokane, Washington, USA. He was born to parents Tim Rypien and Julie Rypien. His father was also an NFL player so is his uncle Mark Rypien, who is a former NFL quarterback. Angela Rypien, a former LFL quarterback, and Rick Rypien, an NHL enforcer are his cousins.
He is not the only child of his parents and has two older siblings, sisters Keara Rypien, and Brigid Rypien.
For education, he attended Shadle Park High School where he played quarterback for all four years of high school. Rypien graduated from the same with 4.0 GPA and with valedictorian honors. Moreover, he set new Washington state records for high school football. In January 2015, he enrolled at Boise State University.

After enrolling at the University, Brett Rypien was left to redshirt for his freshman season. In the third game of the Broncos' season, he was tackled from behind, resulting in a broken ankle. His recovery time was set to eight weeks.
While on the team from 2015 to 2018, he played against UNLV Rebels, Northern Illinois Huskies, New Mexico, Troy Trojans, University of Oregon, University of Connecticut, and Boston College.
In the 2019 NFL Draft, Brett Rypien was expected to be selected. His hand size and lack of arm strength are considered his weaknesses while his impressive college wins are considered his strength.
He eventually signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2019.
