Britney Spears Ascends To The Top Of The Charts With 'Glory'

Britney Spears has released her new album, Glory, and fans are more excited than ever. Critics worldwide have called the record “her best yet” and a smash of her previous albums In The Zone and Britney.

Slant Magazine positively critiqued the album saying it’s one of her more mature albums.

By eschewing the harsh, dubstep-influenced EDM of her past two albums and embracing subtler pop and R&B sounds, Britney’s made her most daring, mature album in years.

With that being said, we’re not surprised how well-received the record is being universally appreciated by pop fans.

Glory has already topped the iTunes chart in over 30 countries and is currently placing in over 60 countries. Both the European and South American market have easily led the way to the top, followed by countries like the U.S and Canada.

On the Global Digital Artist Ranking list, she’s received +130%, catapulting her into the top 10 with other artists like Rihanna, Adele, and Coldplay.

The pop icon is certainly destined for a top 5 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. If so, this will mark her ninth top five album in the U.S. If she tops the Billboard chart, she’ll have her seventh number one album. Will it come to fruition? Stay tuned for next weeks chart update!
