In tonight’s East New York recap, a woman is left unconscious on the floor of her apartment after an unknown person enters her home. Meanwhile, Regina waits as an inmate named Kurt Walsh is transported back to a NY jail. She has some unfinished business with him and wants to talk.

Crystal arrives to her son’s school for career day. The principal tells her she is not going to speak today as her job in the police department is polarizing and could trigger some students. Crystal isn’t happy about this, voicing her opinions. She plans to tell her son after school.

The team arrives at the scene of the woman whose home was broken into. Marvin and Andre see a man of interest who runs from them. Back at the precinct, Crystal vents to John about being a cop and having children.

Regina talks to her dad. She is afraid what Kurt Walsh tells the DA. Her dad tells her he has a lawyer. He isn’t worried. Regina isn’t feeling any better knowing his lawyer. Her dad wants to know if she thinks he has something to do with the killing of an informant. She does not, she tells him. Thats good enough for him.

Tommy and Crystal question the man Marvin and Andre took in. He is the son of the woman who was attacked. He has a drug history and has served time in jail. They think he knocked his mom out. Maybe they had a fight. He denies any wrong doing.

Regina meets with her dad’s lawyer. His lawyer shares that her dad worked for Internal Affairs and is also being blamed for a shooting. Meanwhile, Crystal figures out the person who attacked the woman is a cop.

The Chief calls Regina in. He wants her to stop digging into the Kurt Walsh case and the informant’s killing. She agrees to stop. She heads back to her office to see her dad. They talk. He explains that he helped internal affairs due to being dirty cops.

Marvin and Andre see the alert for the cop Crystal believes is a suspect. They saw him at the crime scene and he isn’t a real cop. He has been posing as one, taking advantage of people.

Sean wants Regina to come to bed but she is busy looking through files in her dad’s case. She doesn’t know what she is looking for but finds something interesting. She leaves the house, worrying Sean. She goes to her dad’s and asks him about a picture. There is a woman on his lap. She is angry. Her dad was there on her 16th birthday. He defends himself. He was on the job. He doesn’t deny sleeping with the lady. Regina cries and tells him to stay away from her. She leaves.

Regina asks Marvin about the picture she found, Marvin knows the ladies, they were all prostitutes. The woman who was helped by the posing cop comes to the precinct to thank them and share how great the cop was. She didn’t get his name but shares his badge number. The team uses this to track down an address, They send a car there.

Regina tracks down the prostitute who was with her dad. She was involved as a witness in the shooting. She won’t say much but shares that Regina’s dad is a good man. Meanwhile, Crystal and Tommy bring in the former cop. He shares that he lent his old badge to the posing cop for Halloween. Crystal and Tommy take him in after baiting him.

Back at the precinct, the posing cop tells them he flunked the exam to be an officer. He still has a calling and went to that woman’s house to put a stop to her son’s dealing. They need to get him a psych eval. He says something about cops being needed however, that resonates with Crystal.

Regina learns her father is in the clear. The threat against him has been dropped. At Crystal’s son’s school, Marvin and Andre pick them up. The kids are impressed his mom’s a cop. Regina’s dad comes to the precinct. She tells him she knows why he left her and her mom – for the woman not because of the job. She shows him the door.
