Now, she's taking a page out of her own character's book with her latest look, channeling the iconic Olivia Pope in a preppy, sophisticated tweed dress.

On Monday, the actress was spotted arriving at The View in an outfit that looked like it came straight out of Olivia Pope’s closet. For her appearance on the daytime talk show, Washington donned an Olivia-approved black, blue, and white tweed double-breasted Giambattista Valli micro-minidress, which she paired with a coordinating Brandon Blackwood clutch. She finished off the reinvented workwear look in a pair of black pointed-toe, knee-high Manolo Blahnik boots.

Washington's outing comes after she spoke with W Magazine in August and revealed there were many times when she tried to step away from the entertainment industry but was always pulled back in.
